Smart Havens Africa was founded by Anne Rweyora and Will Broad, whose personal experiences with housing poverty give the organisation a unique perspective.

As a social enterprise, Smart Havens Africa deeply understands the needs of its clients. 

“I was denied the opportunity to become a civil engineer, a dream that I had hoped to achieve, because my mother had to spend most of her income on rent after my dad passed on,” says Anne Rweyora, the CEO of Smart Havens Africa. “My co- founder, Will Broad, also struggled a lot, often being on the streets to get food for his family and money to pay his school fees as well as rent.”
